For more than 50
years, Burke Heat has been providing top-quality heating oil and
24-hour emergency service to our neighbors in the Westchester/Putnam
area.
Started by George J. Burke in 1946, Burke Heat sought to provide home heating services for the many
post-World War II homes and families that were making their way into
the suburbs of New York City.
The original company consisted of two people -- George Burke and his
wife, Rosella. George acted as the service man, salesman and truck
driver, while Rosella handled the office responsibilities. By
providing top-quality fuel, low prices and unsurpassed services, it
wasn't too long before the company began to grow. By the mid-1950's,
Burke Heat was servicing about 1,000 accounts and had grown to
include five oil delivery trucks, five service trucks and a
staff
of about a dozen people.
By the mid-1970s, George Burke's company had made an undeniable mark
for service and excellence in the region.
Today, Burke Heat is still recognized as the premiere home heating
company in the Westchester/Putnam area. The company has grown to over
35 delivery trucks and over 100 employees. Aside from providing home
fuel delivery and 24-hour emergency service, Burke Heat also offers
expert tank analysis, brand-name equipment installation and tune-ups.
In addition, Burke Heat now has the largest No.2 heating oil storage
facility in the region - more than four million gallons in all.
With more than 50 years of history, let Burke Heat put their
experience to work for you.
